TOPIC: THE HARVEST OF SOULS - AN EMERGENCY
OVERVIEW SCRIPTURE: He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. Isaiah 53:11
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: A Christian who speaks in tongues and does not win souls is a waste of Divine investment.
Some years ago, we were travelling by road to a state in Nigeria, and on our way, we saw an incident of a terrible road traffic accident. So, we pulled over to see the condition of the people involved. To our greatest surprise, everyone involved was lifeless. What a tragedy!
Obviously, the devil is out to send people to hell by premature death in sin, knowing that his time is very short (Revelation 12:12). I do not think there is any time in the history of the world where people die as they do in our generation. That is why it is an urgent necessity for every Christian to run with the Divine vision of soul winning. A Christian who speaks in tongues but does not win souls is a waste of Divine investment.
From our anchor Scripture, we see that Jesus is longing for the harvest of the earth. He is looking forward to seeing the results of His suffering on the Cross for humanity. It is like someone who made an investment and is looking forward to having satisfactory returns or dividends.
So, beloved, we must urgently reach out to save the lost.
Remember this: A Christian who speaks in tongues and does not win souls is a waste of Divine investment.
ASSIGNMENT (S):
1. Develop a deep love for the lost; be involved in making them have the joy of meeting Jesus like you.
2. Make it a responsibility to reach out to the lost every day.
