#TOPIC: THE MANTLE IS DESIGNED TO TACKLE THE BATTLE

#TEXT: 2 KINGS 2:12-14, 23-24

• A major purpose of the anointing in the life of a man is to handle the battles of humanity (Acts 10:38)

#THE_MANTLE_OF_ELISHA:

1. It dismantle the obstacle called Jordan

2. It created a supernatural opening

3. It delivers a spell from the spell of fruitlessness

4. It silenced the voice of mockery

• Anything that mocks your life, destiny, ministry is qualified for a curse

#EFFECTS_OF_THE_ANOINTING_ON_THE_LIFE_OF_DAVID:

1. To break every obligation of the devil (Ps. 89:20-23)

2. To forbid every affliction of the sons of wickedness

3. To bid down the enemy before his face

4. To plague them that hate him

5. To tackle the battle of a generation

#HOW_THE_ANOINTING_HELPS_US_TO_HANDLE_BATTLE:

1. By connecting us with the Hand of God (Ps. 89:19-21)

2. By connecting us with the strength of God

3. By connecting us to the Presence of God (Acts 10:38)

4. By connecting us with the wisdom, direction and the Voice of God

5. By the release of gifting and abilities needed to deal with the enemy (1 Sam. 10)

#CONCLUSION

#REASONS_FOR_THE_FAINTNESS_OF_THE_ANOINTED_IN_BATTLE:

1. Premature relaxation after victory (2 Sam. 21:15-21)

• To relax too son is to be defeated in battle

2. Failure to totally eliminate the enemy (1 Sam. 17:40; 2 Sam. 21:22)

• God does not only equip us for the enemy of today but for the enemy that will ever rise

• What you don’t kill today may kill you tomorrow

• As you record victory, do not relax; as you kill Goliath, remember that Goliath has brothers

• What you don’t finish today can finish you tomorrow

• As a Pastor, Minister increase your fire power

3. Failure to uphold the consecration that brought the oil (Provb. 31:1-4)

• This means lack of strength due to compromise

• Whatever defiles your conscience reduces your strength

4. A lack of freshness of the Oil

• Never become too big to be pastured

• The people who are the most weak are the most proud

• Those who are the smallest are the proudest

• Ensure you maintain the freshness of the Oil and you will never faint before the giants

5. When the Anointed is left to battle alone

• Sons in the ministry have a major responsibility to the father of fighting the battles in the closet
